Rod Palson - TESTIMONIAL
Rod Palson - Ex owner of Palmer Jarvis Winnipeg, he is still creating dynamic campaigns at his In House Strategies and RODio. He co-created the famous Winnipeg Jets “White Out”.
I have known Rob Glennie since 1982. Fresh out of design school, with confidence beyond description and ambitions bigger than life. There wasn’t a project or an opportunity that he wasn’t prepared to tackle.
Not only was he good. He was fast. More often than not, his first ideas were great ideas. Squib it, comp it and move on. And also more often than not, his eyes grew biggest when the challenge was from the sports arena. Consequently, we worked hand-in-hand, brain-on-brain in developing a myriad of sports branding. From the Winnipeg Blue Bombers iconic mascots, Buzz and Boomer...to the Winnipeg Jets ‘Whiteout’, and mascot Benny, Rob was at the heart of so many big wins.
When he decided to pull up his first down marker and move west in 1989, it was agreat loss for the Winnipeg creative community. Fortunately for me, I was able to reconnect with Rob over the past couple of decades, bringing him into several of my curling projects, including design of the logo and branding for the 2018 World Men’s Curling Championship in Vegas - “Las Vegas Rocks”.
Robbie knows when to be a leader. He knows when to be a team player. And most important of all...he still kicks ass!
